Kick Start Your Choral Program in 2022

Voices of Birralee

Voices of Birralee will present an interesting and informative Professional Development Day on how to 'Kick Start Your Choral Program'. Sessions will cover:

1. Engaging your choristers from Day 1
2. Considerations when choosing repertoire
3. Workshopping a song from selection through to performance**
(**this is a concurrent session - please nominate on your form your area of preference either primary or secondary)
4. Conducting gestures for success with your choir

Paul Holley is a champion for choral education and regularly features as guest conductor/clinician. He is the Artistic Director of Voices of Birralee where he works with upper primary students, changed male voices and young adults.

Jenny Moon is an experienced choral conductor specialising in children's and youth choirs. She has been a music specialist for over 30 years and is the Associate Director of Voices of Birralee.

Katherine Ruhle is a children's composer and choral conductor. She is passionate about sharing her love of music with children of all ages, and is widely known for the joy and creativity that she brings to choral rehearsals, and to her choral compositions.

Time: 9:15am-4:00pm
Venue: Trinity Centre, St Rita's College, 41 Enderley Road, Clayfield

$235 per person

The Voices of Birralee Professional Development Day will operate under Voices of Birralee's COVID safe event checklist and will follow the current Government advice. **please note that only fully vaccinated people will be allowed onsite and masks will be worn indoors.
