Anzac Day Commemoration Choir - April 2017

In April 2017, 31 Voices of Birralee choristers, aged from 16 - 18, will perform in two of Australia's most significant commemorative events, the Anzac Day services on the Western Front, in France.

The trip marks the third year of Voices of Birralee's commitment to the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), and will feature choristers from 19 schools from across Brisbane and one from Toowoomba, singing at the Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, and later that day at the 100th anniversary service at The 'Digger' Memorial, Bullecourt, alongside the Australian Army Band.

Voices of Birralee acknowledges the Traditional Owners of this country and recognise their continuing connection the land, water and culture. In our organisation, we recognise the Turrbal and Jagera Peoples as the traditional custodians of Meanjin land. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to their Elders past, present and emerging.
